Teens and adolescents want the same thing adults want: to feel heard and validated in their experiences. I operate from the perspective that we, as a society, have devalued child autonomy by prioritizing adult control. This thought guides how I approach young people, and it can work wonders when engaging with behavioral issues or giving young people their voice back.

Sessions typically involve work with the child alone, with the child and parent together, and with the parent(s) alone. I have provided individual psychotherapy to children of all ages and backgrounds, along with parent sessions. I also work with children experiencing psychiatric emergencies.
